Kohima: The Naga Women Hoho Dimapur held a health seminar at Hotel Saramati this past Saturday. The event pushed for better awareness of physical and mental wellness. Sessions split the day into two distinct focuses.
Dr. Emmanuel L. Yanthan, a consultant gynaecologist at Evita GyneCare Clinic, led the first session. He titled his talk, "Life After 40: Four Pillars of Midlife Care." He detailed the hormonal shifts women face during midlife, urging attendees to choose healthy lifestyles and commit to regular medical check-ups.
Lovitoli Awomi, founder of the Lapiye Centre for Mental Well-Being, took over for the second session. She spoke on "Anxiety and Depression in Women: Recognition & Support." Awomi stressed the necessity of spotting signs early. She told the crowd about "the importance of seeking timely emotional and professional support."
The NWHD thanked the Chief Medical Officer of Dimapur and the Medical Superintendent of the District Hospital for providing medicine and first-aid supplies. They also credited Niholu Ayemi, an OSD in the Nagaland Transport Department, for his help in organizing the program. The event wrapped up with active discussion sessions between the speakers and the participants.
