Aizawl: Mizoram Assembly Speaker Lalbiakzama is heading the Indian delegation at the 69th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference in Cape Town, South Africa. He arrived to lead a session on the role of machine learning in modern governance. The conference runs from September 13 to September 20. It focuses on bolstering parliamentary systems and pushing for fair development across the 56 member nations of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association.
Lalbiakzama takes the stage as the lead speaker for a specific briefing. His talk is titled "Artificial Intelligence in Parliament: Current Applications, Prospects and Implementation Strategies." He is working alongside Assembly Additional Secretary Lalthangmawia during the week-long summit.
The event gathers representatives from 56 countries to share legislative strategies. Organizers have already set the date for the next gathering. Ottawa, Canada, will host the 70th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference in 2027.
