Manipur Honors Kargil War Heroes at State Event

Imphal: Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla and Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh gathered in Imphal on July 26. They met at the Manipur State Film Development Society. The event marked Kargil Vijay Diwas. Leaders paid tribute to soldiers lost during the 1999 Kargil War.

Bhalla praised the Indian Armed Forces. He recalled the soldiers who fought in Operation Sindoor. He also recognized the families of the fallen. "Describing Kargil Vijay Diwas as a symbol of patriotism, sacrifice and national pride, the Governor urged citizens to honour the martyrs and their families."

The Governor asked the youth to serve the nation. He demanded discipline. He pushed for national integration as India builds toward Viksit Bharat 2047. He said national security is a shared job for everyone.

Artistes from the Shri Shri Bal Mukunda Dev Government Music College performed for the crowd. Attendees included legislative members, police, civil officials, and military leaders. Ex-servicemen, Veer Naris, and Veer Matas also filled the room to honor those who died for the country.
