Imphal: Manipur BJP kicks off a month-long outreach campaign on September 17. The Seva Sankalp Abhiyan runs through October 17. The party chose this start date to coincide with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday. K Saratkumar Singh, who heads the organizing committee, announced the plans at the Thambal Sanglen office.
The initiative celebrates 25 years of Modi’s public service. His career began as Gujarat Chief Minister in 2001. It continued when he became Prime Minister in 2014. "The campaign will highlight various public service and welfare initiatives undertaken under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, particularly those aimed at supporting citizens and improving their quality of life," said Saratkumar Singh.
Events begin with Ashirwad Ka Diya and blood donation drives. Workers will target RIMS, the American Oncology Institute in Khabeisoi, and district hospitals in Thoubal and Bishnupur. Shija Hospital will also host donors. From September 17 to October 7, members will perform direct service for the elderly and the destitute.
The party has scheduled a wide variety of events across the state. They will hold drawing and speech contests focused on Viksit Bharat until October 7. Between September 25 and October 7, they plan to honor more than 7,000 Anganwadi workers and helpers during Angan Ka Milan sessions. The schedule also features a Seva Jyoti Yatra involving torch rallies, along with programs titled Seva Setu Abhiyan and Kahani Badlav Ki.
