Kohima Sümi Hoho Re-elects Leadership and Tightens Social Media Policy

Kohima: The Kohima Sümi Hoho met July 25 at the Mt. Olive College Auditorium in Kohima to address organizational goals and community standards. Members gathered to hear from Development Commissioner Y. Kikheto Sema. He urged the group to stay humble and seek divine wisdom. He told the assembly, "Embrace challenges, and work hard to prosper." Sema also pressed for better management of Sustainable Development Goals to ensure future progress.

President K. Shiwoto Wotsa thanked his members for three years of support. He pushed for stronger ties with other tribes living in the city. The group also issued a sharp warning about digital behavior. They plan to take firm action against anyone who uses social media to harm the reputation of the Sümi community.

The session produced two formal resolutions. The group committed to peaceful coexistence with all local tribes. They also finalized their leadership structure. The house approved a search committee recommendation to keep the current office bearers for one more year. K. Shiwoto Wotsa remains president and Daniel Kiho continues as general secretary.
