Kohima: The Kohima Chamber of Commerce and Industry is prepping for the 27th Hornbill Night Carnival. The event marks the group's 50th Golden Jubilee celebration. They want local entrepreneurs to show off new products and test business ideas. This 10-day event aims to help small shops gain market exposure and grow their customer base.
Stall applications go live at the KCCI office on October 26. Vendors have until November 7, 2026, to hand in their forms. The KCCI office sits in the T.U. Building, opposite Multi-Level Parking near New NST in Kohima. Interested parties can call 9402860765, 9774246549, or 8575748825 for more info.
Expect strict rules on pricing. The chamber explicitly stated that "exorbitant pricing would not be permitted" during the carnival. Stall owners must keep prices reasonable and uniform for tourists and locals. Every vendor must keep a daily sales register to ensure fair business practices.
Awards wait for the best participants. The group will honor the Best Indigenous Food, Best Indigenous Product, and the shop with the Highest Sales Based on Investment Ratio. A stage will host local talent every evening. This event blends commerce with culture to celebrate fifty years of service.
