Imphal: Medical professionals treated 120 children at the Nanhi Muskaan 2026 health camp today. The event took place at the HFAO Thambal Children Home for Girls in Arong Nongmaikhong, Kakching District. Kids from six different local Child Care Institutions showed up for free screenings and medicine.
Organizers included the RIMS Dental College, the District Child Protection Unit of Kakching, and the Health for All Organisation. They teamed up with the District Administration to run the show. Specialists from RIMS departments handled ENT, dermatology, pediatrics, dentistry, and psychiatry needs.
Gajoo Rajkumari, the District Child Protection Officer for Kakching, explained the intent behind the outreach. She said the camp was organized to provide health check-ups for children and ensure their overall well-being.
The Nanhi Muskaan project, which translates to little smile, is a program run by the Indian Society of Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry. It focuses on the health of underprivileged youth.
