Kohima: IBM SkillsBuild for Adult Learning finished a three-day training stint at Dimapur Government College. The event ran from September 15 to 17. Exactly 1,600 students showed up. Soft skill trainer Kamalesh Krishnaraj led the sessions.
Gurugram-based EDUNET Foundation organized the program. They teamed up with the Nagaland Directorate of Higher Education plus the IQAC and Career Guidance and Placement Cell of Dimapur Government College. Krishnaraj walked the group through the IBM SkillsBuild platform.
Students gain access to free courses on artificial intelligence, machine learning, leadership, and resume building. Global experts developed the curriculum. These tools are free. "Certificates that are universally accepted are awarded upon completion of the various courses," Krishnaraj noted.
Organizers say the training helps bridge the gap between education and work. They view these sessions as a major need for youth across Nagaland and India.
