Guwahati: Guwahati gets a massive health boost. The Mahendra Mohan Choudhury Hospital in Panbazar officially opens its doors on November 16. The facility holds between 850 and 900 beds to treat the city's growing patient population.

Infrastructure firm Larsen and Toubro finished the construction work. The complex includes residential units for doctors on the premises to keep staff close to the action. Officials say the site will strengthen healthcare services across the region.

Details remain thin. The hospital has not released specifics regarding the inauguration programme or when exactly they will start patient services.
