Guwahati: Twenty-six-year-old Sonu Sah disappeared Friday evening near the Brahmaputra River in the Maijan area of Dibrugarh. The State Disaster Response Force launched a search operation Saturday morning. He is still missing.

Sah went to the riverbank with two companions. His family insists he was pushed. They claim Sah feared the water and would never enter the river on his own. According to the family, "his companions pushed him into the river."

Police are now questioning those friends. Investigators need to determine if Sah fell, jumped, or was forced into the current. Local residents wait for answers while the SDRF crews continue to scour the water.
