Guwahati: Dimasa leaders gathered in Borlangpher on Monday, August 24, to demand immediate government action on stagnating development projects. Former Dima Halam Daogah chairman Dilip Nunisa and Dimasa Peoples Council leader Rohit Daulagupu spearheaded the push. They represent residents across Dima Hasao and Karbi Anglong districts.
The meeting highlighted specific neglect in Raijaodisa, Pathargaon, Hojai Pur, and Borlangfar. Leaders also flagged conditions along the Lumding to Diphu road. These areas remain neglected. Both men urged state authorities to move quickly on these local grievances to bolster socio-economic progress.
Nunisa stated, "The genuine demands and concerns of the Dimasa community should be properly reviewed and addressed in a timely manner." The pair expects the government to prioritize these settlements and provide consistent intervention. They maintain that the community requires sustained support to ensure future welfare and regional growth.
