Conrad Sangma Brings Government Closer to People at Rongara Event

Shillong: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma arrived in the South Garo Hills to inaugurate the Block Integrated Development Complex for the Rongara C&RD Block. This project fits into a wider push to upgrade rural infrastructure across the state. He confirmed that 56 C&RD blocks across Meghalaya now feature either new construction or major renovations completed over the last three years.

Sangma addressed locals during the CM Connect programme in Rongara. He used the gathering to hear feedback and discuss regional priorities directly with the public. Direct contact helps his team identify gaps in services. "Not every issue can be resolved immediately, but said listening to citizens is crucial to working towards meaningful solutions," Sangma stated during the visit.

The Chief Minister also launched the distribution of Maternal and Child Care Kits within the Siju-Rongara area. He plans to roll this specific aid out across the entire state soon. Administrative reach matters. Sangma told the local Block Development Officer and staff to prioritize compassion when delivering welfare programs to residents.

He expects more progress shortly. Work continues on the Siju and Chokpot C&RD blocks, with inauguration dates coming soon. These facilities aim to put government offices closer to remote and border communities. Better buildings must lead to better service for the people.
