Kohima: CANSSEA leadership traveled to Srinagar for the All India State Government Employees Federation executive council meeting on September 12 and 13. President Zubemo Lotha Tsanglao threw his weight behind a demand for a minimum pay fitment factor of 3.25 from the 8th Central Pay Commission. The group wants this revision to reach every state employee.
Tsanglao told the federation that CANSSEA remains committed to dumping the New Pension Scheme for the Old Pension Scheme. The group also tracks state issues back home. They currently work with the government to ensure IAS induction for non-State Civil Service staff stays based on merit. Employees expect fairness.
The association highlighted the Chief Minister Health Insurance Scheme during the session. It provides cashless hospital care for state pensioners and workers. CANSSEA also thanked the Nagaland government for paying Dearness Allowance on time. Press Secretary Siewatho S Nyusou confirmed the group reviewed wide-ranging welfare demands.
The federation plans a major show of force to drive these points home. Nyusou said, "Another key decision taken at the meeting was to conduct a national rally at Ramlila Maidan in New Delhi on December 12, 2026."
