Kohima: The Directorate of Treasuries and Accounts in Nagaland launched an official WhatsApp channel today. It provides updates on pension verification, the Jeevan Pramaan digital system, and departmental notices. Pensioners or their family members can join by scanning the provided QR code. They should enable notifications to stay informed. The department also set up a helpline for help at 8798747800 or 8798747826.
Meanwhile, the Senior Treasury Officer in Dimapur announced the 2026 annual physical verification process. It runs from September 21 to November 3. The schedule kicks off on September 21 for family pensioners with PPO numbers F1-500 and life pensioners L1-1500. Officials will process batches through October 13, covering family pensioners up to F5001 and life pensioners up to L6500.
Special dates from October 14 to 27 accommodate those with health issues and absentees. The final push occurs October 28 to November 3 for the elderly aged 75 and older and remaining absentees. Pensioners who started receiving payments after April 1, 2026, do not need to attend. Those who successfully use the Jeevan Pramaan portal for digital certificates and map them to the TreasuryNet application also receive an exemption.
"The Treasury Office urged pensioners to follow the prescribed schedule and produce the required documents to ensure smooth completion of the annual verification process." Attendees must bring a PPO book, a current bank passbook copy, a recent passport photo, an Aadhaar copy, and a Life Certificate form signed by a Gazetted Officer.
