Nagaland Launches WhatsApp Channel for State Pensioners

Kohima: The Directorate of Treasuries and Accounts in Nagaland launched an official WhatsApp channel today. It aims to streamline communication for state pensioners. The platform delivers real-time updates on verification, Jeevan Pramaan, Digital Life Certificates, and departmental notices. It is a direct line for information.

All state government pensioners and family pensioners must follow the channel. The department specifically requested that family members help elderly retirees join the feed to avoid missing news. Users can find the channel by searching for Treasuries and Accounts, Nagaland- Pensioners’ Information Channel, or by scanning the department's QR code. Once inside, users should enable notifications.

The agency also keeps two lines open for direct support. Retirees can reach the Pensioners’ Helpline on WhatsApp at 8798747800 and 8798747826. Officials stated they launched the service to "provide timely updates on pension matters."
