Bharat Tex 2026 Launches with Massive Global Participation

Shillong: Union Textiles Minister Giriraj Singh opened Bharat Tex 2026 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on Tuesday. The event stands as the world's largest integrated textile value chain gathering. It features exhibitors from 14 nations including the US, UK, Japan, Portugal, Spain, New Zealand, South Korea, South Africa, and Nepal.

The event spans 1.6 million square feet. It displays over 20,000 unique products. More than 6,000 buyers from 130 countries and 1.3 lakh trade visitors are expected. Bharat Tex 2026 brings together major sponsors like Trident, Vardhman Textiles, RSWM, Shahi Exports, Colorjet, Arvind, and PDS Limited.

Singh highlighted the Prime Minister's 5F vision. This strategy moves from farm to fibre, factory, fashion, and foreign markets. The event aims to cement India's status as a reliable global sourcing hub. It highlights key manufacturing clusters in Tirupur, Ichalkaranji, and Ahmedabad.

The Bharat Tex Trade Federation and Premiere Vision Paris signed a Letter of Intent during the ceremony. Florence Rousson and Naren Goenka finalized the deal. This partnership creates a Joint Steering Committee to boost Indian exports in Europe. Giriraj Singh said, “This partnership is another significant step in positioning Bharat Tex as a truly global platform.”

Over the next four days, 350 speakers will lead discussions. The agenda includes bilateral talks on the India-US cotton partnership and the India-UK Free Trade Agreement. Delegations from Russia, the UAE, Thailand, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Myanmar are scheduled to attend. The event provides a massive stage for trade and policy dialogue.
