Guwahati: The Pharmacy Council of India has named Assam University Professor Sanjib Das a recipient of the Pharma Ratna award. He teaches in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences. The council selected him for his long-term dedication to pharmacy education and the professional development of his students.

The Pharmacy Council of India will host an awards ceremony on October 27, 2026. The event takes place at their headquarters located inside the World Trade Centre in Nauroji Nagar, New Delhi. This honor highlights the rising profile of the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Assam University.
