Agartala: Assam Rifles recently wrapped up a two-week self-defence course for 80 students at Ambedkar College in Fatikroy, Tripura. Running from May 18 to June 1, 2026, the program trained 50 female and 30 male students in essential safety techniques.

The curriculum centered on Krav Maga, teaching participants how to assess threats, maintain situational awareness, and react effectively during emergencies. Beyond physical techniques, the course included conditioning sessions, leadership exercises, and activities designed to build mental resilience and confidence.

A closing ceremony on June 1 celebrated the program's success with a live demonstration where students showcased their new skills to faculty members and Assam Rifles representatives. This initiative reflects a broader effort by Assam Rifles to promote self-reliance, discipline, and community development among young people in the region.
