Assam Education Minister Pushes Tech Skills at Pragjyotishpur University

Guwahati: Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu visited Pragjyotishpur University today. He attended the Diksharambha induction ceremony for the 2026-27 academic session. The school welcomed 130 new students into various programs. Pegu spoke directly to the room. He urged the group to master Artificial Intelligence and other new technologies to stay relevant. Students must stay sharp. Pegu stressed that picking up 21st-century skills and practical competencies will keep them employable as the job market shifts under their feet.

The minister said, "Students must remain adaptable and continuously upgrade their skills to meet the changing demands of the modern workplace."

Pragjyotishpur University opened its doors in 2022. It now hosts roughly 350 total students. The campus is growing fast. Officials confirmed the AYUSH Department approved the Ayurveda Gurukulam Programme. Furthermore, the school launched a Pre-Ayurveda Programme this term. Pegu finished the ceremony by wishing the incoming class a successful academic run.
