Assam Chief Minister Sarma Honors Late BTC Deputy Speaker Bijit Gwra Narzary

Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma traveled to Tamulpur to visit the residence of the late Bijit Gwra Narzary. Narzary, who served as a Councillor and Deputy Speaker of the Bodoland Territorial Council, died on August 26, 2026. Sarma placed floral tributes at the home to honor the fallen leader.

The Chief Minister expressed deep sadness regarding the untimely death. He spent time with the grieving family to offer his support. Reflecting on the legacy left behind, Sarma noted the man had made "dedicated contributions to public life and society" throughout his career.

Sarma prayed for the peace of the departed soul. He told the family members he hopes they find strength and solace during this difficult period.
