Assam Agricultural University Hiring Researchers for Apong Project

Itanagar: Assam Agricultural University is looking to fill two research positions for a project funded by the DBT. The study, titled "Bridging Tradition and Innovation: Nano biotechnological Interventions for Preserving Apong’ Authenticity and Enhancing Shelf Life - BT/PR51773/NER/95/2111/2024," aims to modernize local brewing techniques. They need a Junior Research Fellow and a skill worker.

Applicants must hold a postgraduate degree in Food Science and Nutrition, Food Nutrition and Dietetics, or an MTech in Food Processing. A minimum of 60 percent marks is required for all candidates. You also need at least six months of relevant project experience. The role pays 37,000 rupees per month plus 8 percent house rent allowance. Applicants must be 45 years old or younger.

Interested candidates should head to the Department of Food and Nutrition at the College of Community Science in Jorhat. Bring a plain paper application, a bio-data, and self-attested copies of all your certificates. You must also bring original documents to the interview for verification. The session starts at 11:00 A.M. on July 31, 2026.
