Itanagar: MLA Alo Libang opened three new urban infrastructure projects in Yingkiong, Arunachal Pradesh, on Monday. The projects aim to improve waste management, local commerce, and education in the township. Talo Jerang, the Upper Siang Deputy Commissioner, attended the ceremony alongside Zilla Parishad Chairperson Api Kombo and BJP district president Ojing Peyang.

The Department of Urban Affairs coordinated the effort under the watch of Executive Engineer Ramu Welly. Local students, residents, and various department heads joined the officials for the event. The Material Recovery Facility near the airfield serves as the first project. Built under the Swachh Bharat Mission, it manages municipal waste through better material segregation.

Libang then cut the ribbon at the Simar Market vendor facility. This space gives small traders an organized place to sell goods. The final project included a new academic building at the Government Higher Secondary School in Yingkiong. Libang praised the completion of the work and noted, "He also called for greater coordination among government departments, the district administration, elected representatives and the public to speed up development in Yingkiong and Upper Siang district."

The school building will provide a better learning environment for students. These additions bolster the district headquarters' existing infrastructure. Libang pushed for sustainable construction that meets the actual needs of the people living in Upper Siang.
