Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu arrived in Namsai on Tuesday to inspect progress on regional road networks. He met with Chief Engineer Pankaj Goyal at the Border Roads Organisation office. The pair reviewed key infrastructure goals under Project Brahmank. The mission focuses on building stable roads through the state's rugged, remote terrain.
Goyal briefed the Chief Minister on current engineering activities and the state of existing routes. Khandu recognized the daily strain on crews working in these isolated areas. He stated, "Your efforts were crucial to strengthening connectivity and development in the state."
The BRO also showed the Chief Minister their work in social outreach and environmental health. These efforts include the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam tree planting campaign, Swachhata Abhiyan, and various International Yoga Day events. Khandu planted a sapling during the visit to demonstrate his support for local conservation.
Col Ashish Raisinghani handed the Chief Minister a new book during the event. This text maps out the tourism potential of Arunachal Pradesh, highlighting mountain peaks and hidden destinations. State officials and the BRO plan to maintain this cooperation to improve long-term infrastructure and regional development.
