Arunachal Minister Pushes for Stronger Grassroots Governance

Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Minister for Panchayati Raj and Rural Development Ojing Tasing called for better grassroots governance during a session in Pasighat on Tuesday, July 28. He spoke to officers, government staff, and elected officials from East Siang district at an orientation program. The meeting aimed to sharpen the skills of rural development functionaries across the state.

Tasing wants these sessions held statewide to boost rural progress. He told attendees to pass their knowledge down to the village level so every citizen gains from government work. "The successful implementation of development schemes depends on practical understanding, efficient planning and timely resolution of issues at the grassroots," Tasing stated. He pressed for proactive roles from representatives to help reach the goal of Viksit Bharat.

The minister also highlighted the 16th Finance Commission and its role in development. He pushed for better execution of key projects like the Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin), SPR, and G-RAM-G. These efforts target better infrastructure, new jobs for unemployed youth, and inclusive growth. The state government plans to keep running these programs to improve how it delivers services to rural areas.
