Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Home Minister Mama Natung dismissed reports of Chinese encroachment as mere rumors. He spoke on July 26 while attending Kargil Vijay Diwas events. The minister insists no foreign forces have breached the state borders. He credited Indian troops for constant vigilance. The government maintains full trust in the armed forces. "China does not dare cross even an inch," Natung stated.
Social media chatter sparked recent speculation regarding alleged incursions. The Indian Army previously debunked media claims that the People's Liberation Army built camps inside Indian territory. Officials labeled those reports incorrect and baseless. The military remains firm at the front lines.
These comments follow the 35th meeting of the Working Mechanism for Consultation and Coordination on India-China Border Affairs held in Beijing last month. The Ministry of External Affairs reported constructive talks regarding peace and stability. Both nations discussed border management, delimitation, and cross-border cooperation. India also pushed for an early meeting of the Expert Level Mechanism on Trans-Border Rivers.
