Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu slammed VIP culture on July 29. He launched the state edition of the book VIP Culture in India. Former Rajya Sabha MP Nabam Rebia and Sandeep Kumar wrote the text.
Khandu insists public office is a duty. He argues that officials must serve the people instead of hoarding privilege. The Chief Minister made his stance clear during the event. "We are not Shashaks (rulers). We are Sevaks (servants of the people)," Khandu said.
He praised the authors for their work. He expects the book to push for ethical leadership and better governance. Public life needs accountability. Khandu hopes this publication reminds everyone that service must always come before entitlement.
