Arunachal BJP Leader Launches New Apatani Music Album

Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh BJP president Kaling Moyong launched the Apatani Dree Festival music album Ajin Nimi Kalyadu on Sunday, July 26. He held the event at the NRCC in Itanagar. The launch reinforces the Vocal for Local initiative. Several prominent figures attended the event. BJP General Secretary Tadar Niglar, Joint Secretary to the Chief Minister Habung Lampung, and veteran actor Hage D. Appa stood alongside cultural personalities during the reveal.

The album tells the story of childhood friends separated by time. It features vocals from singer Taba Yall Nabam and introduces artist Tasso Nanya to the public. Vishal P. Nabam directed the project. The NWRBA RWB Cultural Centre produced the work as part of its Pan Arunachal initiative. The program aims to promote indigenous music and state cultural heritage.

Moyong spoke to the media after the event. He praised the NRCC for backing regional talent. He stated, "The project reflects the spirit of the Vocal for Local campaign by encouraging the promotion of local music and artistic talent." Moyong noted that these efforts help protect the heritage of the 26 major tribes and over 100 sub-tribes living in the state. He hopes the work helps the public better appreciate the diverse traditions of Arunachal Pradesh.
