Kohima: The Zuketsa Area Women Welfare Society held a seminar on women in rural development. The event took place August 8 at ZAPO Hall in the Phek district. It was backed by the State Institute of Rural Development. Phek officials want more female involvement.
Souhienuo Keyho, the Principal of the Extension Training Centre in Phek, served as the lead speaker for the session. Keyho addressed the crowd about the specifics of the rural development process. The society aims to boost local participation.
ZAWWS chairperson Cheteu Therie chaired the day. Mesetsou Lasushe, former Pastor of Women at Leshemi Baptist Church, opened with a prayer. Tekhepeu Wetsah, Pastor of Women at Zapami Baptist Church, closed the meeting with a benediction.
