Kohima: Phek district launched the Reform Utsav on October 2 at the Middle Khomi Village Council Hall. This initiative joins the People’s Plan Campaign, known as Sabki Yojana, Sabka Vikas. The event drew government officials and local residents together to sharpen grassroots planning. Deputy Commissioner Rhosietho Ngouri served as the special guest alongside Project Director Zhoi Lohe. EAC Mechietsho Koza chaired the day.
The gathering focused on linking community needs directly to government resources. Representatives from eleven departments presented their services, including the District Agriculture Office, Horticulture Office, DRDA, Chief Medical Office, PHED, Power Department, Welfare Office, ICDS, Land Records and Survey Office, and ITI Phek. They detailed welfare programs, infrastructure goals, and skill training. The aim is simple: make planning responsive to the people. Local leaders and villagers participated in an interactive session to highlight village priorities. Officials walked the public through eligibility rules and application steps. The day finished with a tree planting drive. Officials and villagers planted trees to show their joint commitment to environmental care and sustainable progress.
