UNLF Mourns Death of Manipuri Filmmaker Oken Amakcham

Imphal: The United National Liberation Front, under the leadership of Koireng, issued a statement mourning the death of Oken Amakcham. Amakcham was a prominent Manipuri filmmaker, theatre actor, director, and music composer. He died recently, leaving a void in the state arts scene. The outfit released a formal message through its Secretary of Publicity, M. Shak-Hen.

Amakcham inspired the public. He pushed for patriotism through his films and songs. The UNLF credits him with raising awareness and supporting the group's various movements and programs over the years. His influence spanned far beyond local screens.
