Agartala: Tripura Tribal Welfare Minister Bikash Debbarma launched an impartial inquiry into food quality issues at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Memorial Girls Hostel in Agartala. He conducted a surprise inspection on Jagannath Bari Road on August 3. The minister spoke with students and demanded reports from hostel authorities.
Debbarma ordered a transparent investigation into the grievances. He promised swift action if the complaints prove true. "Any negligence or irregularity concerning the rights, safety and welfare of students will not be tolerated. If the allegations are found to be true, strict action will be taken against those responsible as per government rules," the minister said.
The minister visited two more facilities later that day. He inspected the Bodhjung ST Boys Hostel and the Women College ST Girls Hostel. These visits focused on infrastructure, daily management, and living conditions. Debbarma noted that he wants to prioritize upgrades for these buildings. He aims to ensure a safe and dignified environment for all learners across the state.
