Agartala: Chief Secretary J.K. Sinha opened the Tech Saksham workshop at Pragya Bhawan in Agartala on Friday, highlighting the state's push toward technology-driven administration. The event, organized by the National Informatics Centre Services Incorporated (NICSI) and the state government, focused on building capacity for more transparent and efficient public services.

Sinha noted that Tripura has successfully integrated e-governance from the Cabinet Secretariat down to the Gram Panchayat level. The state has already implemented e-Office systems to reduce reliance on paper while launching digital solutions like e-Billing for power and e-Hospital services for healthcare. He cited these efforts as proof that Tripura leads the North-East in digital infrastructure development.

The workshop featured discussions on emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and cloud services. NICSI Managing Director Alok Tiwari emphasized the importance of these tools in modern administration, a sentiment echoed by NIT Agartala Director S.K. Patra and other academic leaders.

A major outcome of the event was the signing of Memorandums of Understanding between NICSI, NIT Agartala, and Techno India University. These partnerships aim to foster ongoing collaboration in technological innovation to further streamline state governance.
