Agartala: Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha has issued a stern warning to BJP leaders and workers, stating that the party will take strict disciplinary action against anyone posting anti-party comments on social media. Addressing a felicitation event for the new state BJP president, Abhishek Debroy, in Agartala, Saha emphasized that such behavior damages the party image and confuses the public.

The Chief Minister characterized internal dissent and negative public posts as a form of conspiracy designed to weaken the organization. He compared the issue of members pursuing financial gain rather than public service to a chronic disease, suggesting that the party is prepared to take drastic measures to ensure discipline. According to Saha, the organization will not hesitate to remove individuals who undermine the party, regardless of their current standing or position.

These remarks follow recent reports of a meeting involving party officials, including a minister, who allegedly discussed plans to remove Saha from his post. Both the Chief Minister and Debroy urged members to utilize official party forums for disagreements instead of airing grievances online. Debroy confirmed that the BJP maintains a monitoring mechanism to track social media activity and will treat public expressions of resentment as formal anti-party actions.
