Agartala: Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha has issued a stern warning to BJP members, threatening strict disciplinary action against anyone posting critical remarks about the party on social media. Addressing a gathering at Rabindra Bhavan for the felicitation of new state president Abhishek Debroy, Saha declared that all members face accountability for public statements that damage the organisation, regardless of their rank.

The Chief Minister linked his comments to recent political unrest, including reports of a secret meeting where certain party leaders and a minister allegedly discussed plans to remove him from office. Saha described these internal challenges as a slow poison that undermines the government. He emphasised that public disagreements create unnecessary confusion and damage the party's reputation, suggesting that some individuals have entered politics for personal financial gain rather than to serve the public.

State president Abhishek Debroy echoed these sentiments, noting that the BJP monitors online activity and expects members to use official internal forums to address their grievances. Both leaders reinforced that the party has a established system for handling disagreements and will not tolerate behaviour that weakens their political standing.
