Tripura Chief Minister Hands Out Tools to Trained Bru Workers

Agartala: Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha handed out specialized toolkits to trained members of the Bru community on August 23. The distribution took place during a skill development event in Amarpur. Workers got gear.

The Directorate of Skill Development ran the session. They aim to lift the socio-economic status of the Bru people through job training and self-employment. Beneficiaries completed specific courses before receiving the equipment needed to start earning money.

Saha wants self-reliant citizens. He promised the government will keep pushing for sustainable ways to make a living. Regarding the initiative, the Chief Minister said, "the government is committed to creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for members of the Bru community and helping them become economically self-reliant."

He expects the move to improve lives. The tools provide a path to new income and long-term stability for the community.
