Thirty-Eight New Security Guards Graduate in Jowai

Shillong: Thirty-eight youths finished a 45-day security guard course at the MPSS Security Agency in Thadmuthlong Phramer on Thursday. This 14th batch included 14 women. The agency holds recognition from the Meghalaya Home Police Department.

Mawkynrew MLA Banteidor Lyngdoh served as the chief guest for the passing-out parade. He praised the agency for opening doors in a tough job market. Lyngdoh plans to meet with managers at local cement factories to push for the hiring of these graduates. He said, "As long as qualified candidates are available within the state, they should be given the first opportunity for employment."

The MLA emphasized that trained security staff are vital for hospitals, industrial plants, and commercial offices. He told the recruits to maintain discipline and grit on the job. Managing Director Pyndaplang Muksor led the new guards in their pledge. The event also featured guest of honour Albinus Lamurong and Rev. RI Laloo, along with the families of the trainees. Speakers at the ceremony pushed the agency to keep improving its training standards for future recruits.
