Students and Officials Lead Massive Flag Rally in Itanagar

Itanagar: One thousand students took to the streets in Itanagar today. They joined security forces and government officials to march with a massive 300-foot national flag. The event anchored the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign in Arunachal Pradesh. It was the longest flag rally in the Northeast.

The 91-metre tricolour arrived from New Delhi specifically for this march. Chief Minister and Home Minister joined the crowd alongside personnel from the Indo-Tibetan Border Police and Central Reserve Police Force. Local residents rounded out the group.

Organisers hailed the march as a major public activity. The campaign pushes citizens to display the national flag at their homes to celebrate Independence Day. Participants marched through the capital city to promote national unity. The organisers noted, "The 300-foot National Flag was brought from New Delhi for the event."
