Sovima Village Hosts Successful Rabies Vaccination Drive for Pets

Kohima: The Sovima Village Council hosted a free anti-rabies vaccination camp on June 19 to improve local animal health standards. This initiative was led by the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services, Nagaland.

During the event, staff administered vaccines to more than 100 pets. Owners without prior documentation received new vaccination cards to help maintain accurate health records for their animals.

The village council thanked the department for the service. They noted that such initiatives help safeguard the community, stating that these efforts contribute to "safeguarding both animal and human health and support efforts towards building a rabies-free community."
