Shillong: The Office of the Deputy Commissioner in East Khasi Hills is hunting for applicants for the 2025-26 Chief Minister’s Youth Development Scheme. Cash is on the table. Registered societies, cooperatives, NGOs, sports groups, and local government departments can all throw their hats in the ring for funding.
The scheme pays for youth festivals, cleanup efforts, and career coaching. It also covers workshops on money management, digital literacy, and mental health. Other acceptable ventures include industry trips, community service, and Fit India events. The District Level Empowered Committee holds all the cards. They will vet every submission, and their decision is final.
Interested parties can grab application forms from Room 311 at the Deputy Commissioner’s office or any Block Development Office. The files are also live on the district website at www.eastkhasihills.gov.in. Rural organizations must route their paperwork through their local BDO. Mark your calendars. The deadline to apply is September 15, 2026.
