Kohima: The Sümi Hoho and Pochury Hoho met in Meluri on July 7, 2026. The two tribal groups gathered at the Pochury Hoho office to lock in their long-standing partnership. They came to talk. Leaders spent the day discussing shared interests and ways to keep the peace between their neighboring communities.
Both groups signed a joint resolution following the goodwill visit. The document marks a promise to maintain the harmony their ancestors built. The text notes that the "Sümi and Pochury tribes have lived together in peace, harmony and mutual respect since time immemorial."
This pledge keeps the tribes focused on collective welfare. They want to settle future problems through talks rather than conflict. By working together, the groups hope to support the wider Naga family. Leaders left the meeting with a plan for regular contact to keep their ties strong.
