Shillong: Hearings for the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls in East Khasi Hills get back on track starting August 31. The District Election Office confirmed the restart following a delay. Electoral Registration Officers and their assistants across the various Assembly constituencies will oversee the sessions.
The authorities have a plan. Officials will relay the specific dates, times, and venues for these sessions through public address systems in the Dorbar Shnongs. Booth Level Officers will also reach out to electors directly by phone. The office stated, "The rescheduled date, time and venue of the hearings will be communicated through announcements made via the public address (PA) systems of the concerned Dorbar Shnongs, direct telephone communication with the concerned electors by Booth Level Officers (BLOs), or through any other appropriate mode."
