NSCN (Reformation) Issues Warning Amid Unrest in Southern Nagaland

Kohima: The NSCN (Reformation) has condemned a wave of violence affecting Southern Nagaland, citing reports of forced kidnappings, disappearances, and the holding of innocent civilians as hostages. The group described these activities as acts against humanity and called for an immediate end to the hostility.

In a formal statement, the organization asserted that the ancestral lands belong to the Naga people and stressed that they are prepared to defend their political and historical rights. The group emphasized that threats directed at any single Naga tribe are viewed as a challenge to all Nagas, warning that they will respond with force if necessary.

The statement also addressed the ongoing tensions between communities, noting that distortions of facts cannot alter history. The organization expressed a desire for peace and urged Kuki leaders to choose harmony over conflict, noting that continued violence serves no benefit to any party involved.
