Kohima: The NSCN-K (Yung Aung) faction says they teamed up with the Revolutionary People’s Front to strike the 21 Assam Rifles. The ambush hit the unit near Nampong, located in the Changlang district of Arunachal Pradesh, on September 29. Blood spilled on the ground. The insurgents claim they walked away with a captured AK assault rifle from the site.

The joint forces hit hard. "During this tactical engagement, our joint team neutralized one enemy soldier and critically injured several others, and successfully recovered one AK assualt rifle from the site," the group said in a press release. They reported killing one soldier and wounding several more during the firefight.

The rebel coalition insists they remain organized. They declared their fighters are united and determined to keep pushing for their cause. The group stated their fighters remain unwavering in their duty to defend their land and people against what they labeled as oppressive forces.
