NSCN/GPRN R Clears Leadership of Misconduct Allegations

Kohima: The NSCN/GPRN (Reformation) cleared its leadership of wrongdoing on July 6. An internal inquiry committee tossed out claims made by expelled member Kavishe Zhimo. The group dismissed his accusations as "false, fabricated and without locus standi."

An emergency meeting in Dimapur on June 18 triggered the probe. Lhoughoto Chishi led the committee that reviewed the files. They found the former member acted out of malice after his suspension for anti-party behavior. Zhimo allegedly faked his service history. He claimed credit for a 2015 ceasefire despite joining the group months later.

Financial records revealed heavy losses under his watch. The group claims he swiped 25 lakh rupees as revenue boss in Dimapur. Another 12 lakh vanished during his time at the Crime Control Cell. Instead of reporting funds, he reportedly built a private house in Thilixu Village. He also allegedly tried to defect to other groups three times since 2019 under an alias.

The organization stripped him of his rank and primary membership. He has five days to return all government property to the Dimapur Town Command. The group warned that failure to turn over these items will lead to "necessary punitive action." They declared this the final word on the matter.
