NSCN Angami Region Backs Collective Leadership and Framework Agreement

Kohima: The Angami Region of the NSCN (I-M) has renewed its backing of the group's Collective Leadership. Members met in Kohima on July 15, 2026, to solidify their stance. They hold firm. The faction formally declared its "strong and unwavering support" for the current leadership structure during the session.

Central Administrative Officer Dzieseo Angami released a statement confirming the move. The group maintains high confidence in the Framework Agreement. This pact was inked between the Government of India and the NSCN on August 3, 2015. It remains the centerpiece of their political position.

The agreement was established under the direction of the late Isak Chishi Swu and Th. Muivah. The regional branch expects the historic document to guide their future path. They are staying the course.
