NPF Waromung Unit Sets Aside Old Factional Rifts

Kohima: The NPF Waromung unit ended years of internal friction on July 2. Leaders and members from once-opposing camps filled the room for a massive consultative meeting. They want a clean slate. The goal is simple: total party unity.

Unit President Imkongsashi led the session in the 29 Jangpetkong Assembly Constituency. Attendees reached a consensus to move on from the chaos of the pre-merger era. They formally stated they will "resolve to forgive and put behind all differences that existed prior to the NPF-NDPP merger."

The unit is now locked in behind sitting MLA Temjenmenba. Members spent the afternoon mapping out plans to hit the ground running. They promised to mobilize voters and strengthen the party footprint in every corner of the village. The room was loud with talk of discipline and hard work. Everyone left with a pledge to secure a blowout victory when the next election arrives.
