Kohima: Noklak Deputy Commissioner P. Mono Khiamniungan led a district team into Kingjung and Wui villages on July 4. They pushed for better cooperation on government schemes and local unity. Officials emphasized the need for total participation in the upcoming Census 2027 exercise. They met with village councils to ensure the process goes off without a hitch.

Mono praised the local students for their school enrollment. He pushed them to keep working hard. The DC also highlighted the value of traditional pottery in Wui village, telling residents to protect the craft. "Safeguard and promote the craft for future generations," Mono told the villagers.

SDO Civil Vikhoto Richa reminded the crowd that both villages sit under the Thonoknyu Aspirational Block. He told residents that proper paperwork is the only way to get government benefits. The villagers didn't hold back. They pointed to failing roads and a struggling school system as their primary concerns.

Departments rolled out several services during the trip. The Social Welfare Department ran sessions on women and child safety. Doctors held a health camp for residents, and teams processed new Aadhaar cards and bank accounts on the spot.
