NIT Nagaland and Sikkim Open New Research Recruitment Drives

Kohima: The National Institute of Technology campuses in Nagaland and Sikkim have launched recruitment drives for research positions funded by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. Both institutes are seeking qualified personnel to contribute to projects under the Chips to Startup scheme.

NIT Nagaland is hiring one Research Associate to work on a project titled "FPGA/Adaptive-SoC Implementation of Deep Learning framework for Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) system." Candidates must hold a PhD in Electronics and Communication Engineering or have submitted their thesis, along with GATE or NET qualification. Applicants should possess experience in Verilog coding and FPGA board implementation. The position offers a monthly salary of Rs 58,000 plus 10% HRA. Interested individuals must submit their CV and required documents via email by June 22, 2026.

Simultaneously, NIT Sikkim is accepting applications for a Junior Research Fellow position under the SMDP-C2S project. Applicants require a B.E. or B.Tech and an M.E. or M.Tech degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering with at least 60% marks or a 6.5 CGPA. SC, ST, and PwD candidates are eligible for a relaxation of 5% or 0.5 CGPA. The fellowship will be provided according to DST norms. Candidates must complete the online application form by the deadline of June 10, 2026.
