Guwahati: Radisson Blu Guwahati kicked off a new culinary event this week. The Uttar Dakshin food festival runs until August 16, 2026, at The Great Kebab Factory. It celebrates the sharp divide between northern and southern Indian flavors. Diners can expect a menu packed with regional classics.

The kitchen team prepared a wide range of vegetarian and meat-heavy dishes. Patrons can order Malabari Kalmi Kabab, Mathania Paneer, or Dhungar Adraki Chaapein. Other selections include Mutton Pulusu, Andhra Masala Prawns, Haryali Badami Tangdi Kabab, and Amritsari Fish served with Gunpowder Aioli. These dishes rely on time-honored recipes and authentic regional ingredients.

The restaurant environment reflects the theme. Staff use banana leaves for presentations. The hotel decorated the space with regional elements to match the food. General Manager Gurmeet Randhawa said, "India’s culinary heritage is one of the richest in the world, with every region offering its own distinctive flavours, traditions and stories."

The hotel wants to bring these disparate styles under one roof. Guests can book a table by calling 91 69012 53527. The event offers a deep look into the nation’s food culture.
