Zunheboto Election Officials Launch Voter Roll Verification

Kohima: Booth Level Officers in Zunheboto start house-to-house voter verification on August 16. The effort serves the Special Intensive Revision 2026 of the Photo Electoral Rolls. Staff will distribute and collect Enumeration Forms in every polling area through September 14. Keep your passport photos ready. These images are mandatory to complete the process.

The administration opens a window for claims and objections from September 20 to October 20. This allows citizens to fix errors, add new entries, or remove names from the records. Officials will hold hearings and resolve these cases until November 18. Anyone dealing with mapping issues or data discrepancies must bring supporting documents to the Electoral Registration Officer or the Assistant Electoral Registration Officer.

The district relies on help from Village Councils, Village Development Boards, Gaon Buras, colony councils, and ward authorities. DC and District Election Officer Dharam Raj, IAS, expects full participation from the local population. "The active participation and cooperation of all stakeholders will be crucial for the smooth and successful conduct of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026 in the district." Be home when officers visit to ensure your registration stays current.
